The research activities of the Biophysics and Nuclear Medicine team at the Faculty of Medicine and the Montpellier CHRU focus on functional, metabolic and molecular imaging. Team members have access to a range of medical imaging equipment, including two positron emission tomography (PET) scanners, three SPECT-CT hybrid gamma cameras, a CZT gamma camera dedicated to cardiac studies, and two bone densitometry machines. The team also has two "hot" laboratories, two laminar flow hoods for cell labeling and a radioimmunoanalysis laboratory.
